The MOVE UP Europe Cup concluded with great enthusiasm, an extraordinary event that transformed Pristina (Kosovo) into a meeting point for talent, passion, and European spirit, embracing athletes with specific pathologies such as obesity, hypertension, and cardiovascular problems.

The project, which began last year, has achieved important milestones according to the project timeline, developing the following areas:

๐Ÿ“ŒPersonalized programs for specific needs through walking basketball, walking football, and catchball.

๐Ÿ“ŒCommunity engagement, connecting with others who share similar health challenges, is invaluable.

๐Ÿ“ŒCollaboration with healthcare professionals in a holistic approach was achieved through close engagement with physicians, physiotherapists, and nutritionists.

๐Ÿ“ŒRegular check-ins with healthcare professionals have allowed adjustments based on progress and any emerging health concerns.

๐Ÿ“ŒCertified and experienced trainers and coach experts provided important guidance on proper form, intensity, and modifications, inspiring users to push their limits while respecting their boundaries.

๐Ÿ“ŒFrom a Scaling Up perspective, we envision expanding our program to reach more individuals at EU level through partnerships with sports federations and associations, corporate wellness programs, and community centers that will facilitate wider access. Disciplines such as #WalkingBasketball, #WalkingFootball, and #Catchball will accelerate the expansion of new sport disciplines, adapting for all peoples, not just for athletes or former athletes, but for the general public.

3 countries such as #Kosovo#Romania#Italy Athletes aged 45 to 65 came together to share not only competition, but also fundamental values โ€‹โ€‹such as inclusion, collaboration, and personal growth.

During the event, the city of Pristina was alive with positive energy: exciting challenges, moments of discussion, and many stories of commitment and determination. The MOVE UP Europe Cup wasn’t a competition, but an experience capable of uniting different cultures under a single vision: building bridges through sport and shared activities to improve lifestyles and combat chronic diseases.

As Aps Asd Margherita Sport e Vita, we are particularly proud to highlight that we have given an active identity to the discipline of WalkingBasketball, being the first sports organization to have produced the first technical and referee manual for WB. We intend to continue on this path because we believe it is the best!

๐Ÿ‘ A special thank you to all the organizers, volunteers, and participants, especially the Kosovo Football Federation, who made this event possible. Their contribution was essential to creating a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.

๐Ÿš€ The MOVE UP Europe Cup continues to grow, carrying with it a strong message: together we can go beyond all borders.
