In these months we are finalizing some important activities and reaching some amazing goals of SS4DC, a project that promotes dual career among students.

The EAS Cafè: On November 24, the 19th EAS Virtual Cafè on “XXI century skills as a bridge between sport and employability” was organized to discuss the relevance of soft skills for the employability of athletes at the end of their sport career and to raise the awareness of the educational platform for young athletes, now available. There were over 100 participants. To enhance the student-athlete knowledge, competences, and skills, Renato Vuk, coordinator of the Smart Start for DC, illustrated the SS4DC platform encompassing educational material organized in 10 modules regarding Communication Skills, Social interaction skills, Emotional Intelligence, Listening skills, Leadership, Team-work and Collaboration, Time Management, Desire for Continuous Learning, Critical Thinking, and Respect for Diversity

The pilot testing: 30 young student athletes (age 14-19) participated at pilot testing. After a briefing session during which the project’s purpose, the dual career context, assessment confidentiality, MOOC structure, and timelines were explained, a demonstration about how to utilize the platform was provided.
All activities were implemented on a digital platform and students. ompleted a 200-question psychological assessment, receiving feedback based on their scores immediately afterwards. For the e-learning component (MOOCs), MSV’s participants were assigned Module 5 (Leadership) and Module 6 (Teamwork & collaboration). The feedback from participants was extremely positive!!

This project is giving us great satisfaction and great success. Thanks to all partners!!
